would like to get a feedback from owners of these tanks... I really like the design and the look of the tank... I'm really liking the stainless steel tank and stand... :)

any input & pics appreciated...

Thanks

I'm actually tank sitting this week for a friend that has a 120g. I gotta say it's a pretty nice tank, overall construction and the stainless steel look is pretty hot!

cool... good to know... that's the exact tank I'm looking into... we'll see... ;)

I have a 45g tech. The tank is built well but I have a few issues with the design. The eurobrace blocks a lot of light around the edges. If you have T5 lighting, the bulbs at the end of the fixture are just about useless. The overflow takes up a lot of space. On the 18" (90g or less) wide tanks, you really end up with 12" usable space for aquascaping. You have to go with the 120g or larger. The stainless looks really nice :)

cool.. thanks for the feedback bro... :)

I was also thinking going all T-5's for the new set up... yikes!!!

for those who are wondering what the tank looks like... ;)

yup, it's a nice tank Marv! I don't think you could go wrong with the 120, it's pretty large and has enough room to do some cool stuff

I like the fact that it comes with a Starphire front glass and the side doors on the stand are awesome as well... not to mention the black silicone used and thicker glass... if I end up setting up this tank, it'll be an expensive build... kinda scary when I add up the bill... :hammer:

I have seen a few while at the LFS a year or so ago. Very nice tank and the stand flexibility is nice. But as gio mentioned, the eurobracing will be a hinderance for a T5 tank. Have you considered an AGE or similar rimless tank with a Tech series stand or a custom built stand made to look similar? Something to consider. But its getting nit picky when your looking at the high end of things. You cant go wrong and it'll be a matter of taste.

aren't you guys worried about the stainless steel rusting? Every stainless ive seen will eventually start to rust no matter how good it is

Its coated Stainless - like a vinyl

Marv - I want one myself - I just WON'T DO another tank transfer!!!

Maybe fish only though........

I have one, got it Jan 07. 3 sides of starphire. I love the quality, and look. the tech tank stands have doors on the side for access to the sump area as well.

it's funny this thread popped up, my buddy just told me today that he wants to sell his because of work and school and I might just take it off his hands :D

thx.

I wasn't happy with the H series Solaris, so I sold it, before PFO went under, (lucky for me) and got a T5 fixture. I love the T5 fixture, I am running 5 ATI bulbs and 1 GE 6500 and I love the color, and the growth I am seeing from my LPS and zoas.

Good deal. It really is to bad about PFO, they were really starting to get somewhere with those.

I run T5 myself, and I too love the color and growth, but I keep SPS! :D
