Who is the HOST for your clownfish?

Mine hang around in this clay pot all day.

Bottom corner of the tank. Every time they move the Hippo Tang follows them.

He ignored his nem until it committed suicide in a powerhead. Now his tank is Xenia and GSP dominate and he has only ever let me get this 1 pic of him out of the Xenia. Usually you just see his head poked out like the 1st pic.

Something I see a little more frequent than I like is hobbyists saying that their clownfish are "hosting the anemone" when in reality its the opposite and the anemone is the host for the clown pair.. Now that we have cleared the air for everyone lets talk about your clownfish!

What inanimate object, coral, or piece of rubble is the host to your clownfish or clown pair? Currently my Spotcintcus Clowns are living in the Long Polyp Toadstool in my lagoon, they don't have a nem to play with so they found the next best thing!

My current pair love the two malus they have. The females does not share, but the male must at times.

I have had them claim an overflow pipe, powerhead, kenyan tree, frogspawn, torches, corners with a rock. They are funny creatures.

Mine are hosted by a purple tip branching hammer. I hate it because the hammer hates it, but it's slowly being Stockholm syndromed into accepting them... I wish they'd just choose a corner or something

You may be right about the acan but man ... it really looks like your clown graffiti tagged your rock in that pic... talk about claiming that feather duster as it's territory. You may need to name that clown Pig after this... LOL

Ditto...stupid clowns ! I kept my BTA in my tank for them and it’s literally right in front of them, but do they go there? Noooooo...back wall. And now that dang nem has split a 1000x leaving me the task of getting them out which is NO fun !
