So I got a torch the other week and I haven't glued it to the rock work yet because I'm trying to figure out where the torch likes it the most in the tank and every time I walk by my tank the frag is on the sand bed because my dang hermit crabs or snails knock it off. Lil jokers are starting to aggravate me with this lol. I just found it between two rocks wedged in there smh

The crabs just think it would like the sand bed best. I happened to catch a snail working its way between a frag and the rockwork a few weeks back. Managed to move it before he got it out though.

Yea they keep getting underneath the disc and knocking it off the rock work

Maybe try putting them on the sand bed on an island. I did that once. My hammers were having trouble up top so I decided to move them directly on the sand bed and glued them all to a rock that I took out of the sump. As long as the flow and the lighting is good it shouldnt be a problem. The rockwork keeps them elevated enough to avoid any sand falling on them

I just looked at my tank again and guess what....the dang frag has been knocked off again by a snail or crab smh

If you don't at least mount it to a plate to hold it up. Sooner or later one of the falls will tear the flesh on the side of the coral and you will have a new problem. Getn the coral stable is my advice as I have been down this road before in the past. Don't want you to have my experience with that

That's my biggest fear is it actually getting damaged or hurt from the fall

I think I'm going to glue it to it's forever home today once lights come on

Dude. I have an issue. I’m getting new pieces every weekend . It’s only a 25 gallon

Oh I’m squeezing **** in at this point. And I’ve got like 20 active auctions on eBay I’m in that I haven’t told the wife about

Wherever you glue it, it doesn’t have to be it’s forever home. They will pop off easy if you find it unhappy with light, flow etc. you can always move it later. I just moved a torch that has been apoxied and glued to the same spot for 7 months because of growth it’s polyps were getting dangerously close to my birdsnest.

I have always wondered that if I glue it to a place how am I going to get it off of that rock work.

I have a tuxedo urchin that has picked up my glued down frags, Rasta zoa, sinularia, and blue mushroom ( multiple times) and cruised around the tank with them on top of it. Good glue from BRS .

I have. A few trochus snails and hermit crabs and astrea snails
