I bought 2 of the 72watt cree value fixtures for my 75. So far so good, corals doing great. Only complaint is I wish i bought the bridgelux version for more colored leds. But the rgb do just fine. Have blue about 50% and the white on the lowest setting.

Skins- thanks for the response and the welcome. Great photos as well. Accurately capturing Blue LEDs are always difficult, but the daylight look really nice.
I also got a response from reef breeders on led running temperatures and was impressed they could run as cool as they do (I won't quote exact temps as that would be up to them to provide in an open forum).

I messages you but here are the possibilitys that will suit my situation to be used now until I upgrade to my 4 foot since I no longer have my 75 gallon it will most likely be a 120 gallon but why does the 16 inch have more LEDs than the 24 inch I'm confused? What do you guys think which would be better I just drew this up I think I'm finally about to jump in after a few years.
The 24" one has 4 less LEDs, but a similar amount of power to the 16" fixture. The length allows the light to spread more evenly over a 36" long area

But why does the smaller fixture have moreand have the same wattage? Im not sure the other seems to have more LEDs and ill probably have better control andbe able to keep more stuff I can always dim.
They have the same amount of power, what size tank are you looking to light?

Yes I do, my tank is full of sps.
Here is a horrible cell phone pic with 2x 120w Bridgelux and the blue's on at 100%.

Guess I can't go wrong either way thank you say you only keep the LEDs on 50% will that keep the wattage used in half also or will it still consume 120 what's say if its that fixture will it use 60 what's or all 120 ?

I was planing on using it on my 30 inch tank until I upgrade to a 48 inch 120 gallon mixed sps dominant reef. Which then I would just add another fixture when the time comes . Which of the two would you recommend and do you mind my other question about the whats sorry for being a pain in the but.
