Who uses reef breeders led

I was just wondering if anyone can critique my led layout for the value fixture. I'm not sure yet if i'll be using the reds, I may or may not substitute them for UV. Thanks

Could I use one 32" photon on my 36x32x24 and have a nice mix reef.. It's all I could afford can't afford 2 24" fixtures

If I may ask what brightness did you start yours out as I got mine a few days ago he said it was the newer one which no longer has green and has four reds and more violet. I have seen a lot more alavea n places I never seen before and the sand. I'm very satisfied those cant wait to hang it up.

That's weird that they'd put more reds in. Most people hate how red it makes everything look since the red leds overpower everything else.

How does the red look to you? Can you post pic?

I have it at max 30 percent and I'm going to let the coral get used to it I'm pritty satisfied ill give you the details soon I'm busy right now give me some time. Also the LEDs don't really show on camera for some reason unless the tank light is on low.

So I've been still trying to work out which leds I would like to get but I am confused with the blue leds. Reefbreeders has blue leds in the 450nm range and another led in the 460 range which as of now I have both planned for my fixtures. When I go to rapidled and look at the description of their royal blue led it states 450-465nm in one led. So what would be the difference in color if any with the Chinese reef breeders leds?

You can also custamize with reef breeders but I went with the layout they say is the best which they just send if you don't customize

Nice and thorough review. I'll probably be going with the value fixtures since I need 3 fixtures. With the quality and price of these lights it's so hard to justify spending 3 grand or even a grand on "brand name lighting".

So are you happy with the color these lights give out? I see the reds put out a lot of light, is it too red or does it look alright?

Overall the color is great and when hung it will be hardly noticeable keep us updated with your build but the digital timer is very nice and the exact percentage is great let me know what you decide to do you may be able to use 32 inch lights

I currently use a diy led fixture and i'm not sure if it's enough light. My birds nest was doing great for a few months but then all of a sudden it is part bleached, part brown and dropping some tissue. My purple bonsai acro also lost it's purple color and turned brown. And to add to that, my soft corals weren't opening up much until I lifted the fixture up. So i'm not sure if it's too much light, too little light or just high alk which was 10 last time I tested.

Some guy on another forum told me that I don't have enough light for the corals so I borrowed a par meter so I will be testing the light above my corals and if it's not enough light I will def. be ordering the reefbreeders this week.
