Who uses reef breeders led

I currently use a diy led fixture and i'm not sure if it's enough light. My birds nest was doing great for a few months but then all of a sudden it is part bleached, part brown and dropping some tissue. My purple bonsai acro also lost it's purple color and turned brown. And to add to that, my soft corals weren't opening up much until I lifted the fixture up. So i'm not sure if it's too much light, too little light or just high alk which was 10 last time I tested.

Some guy on another forum told me that I don't have enough light for the corals so I borrowed a par meter so I will be testing the light above my corals and if it's not enough light I will def. be ordering the reefbreeders this week.
does it have color led ? Can you give the details and for some reason under LEDs purple corals act wierd

It doesn't have color led, just white and blue. The fixture consists of 48 total blues and 4 40 watt multi chip leds. No reflectors either.

Yes definitely mine will be here today hopefully ill post a unblocking video or something

How long did it take you to receive your leds from time of payment? I emailed the guy if he keeps the lights in stock but I didn't get a reply.

It seems like he doesn't stock up on these lights, he just waits for enough orders and then places that order with the Chinese factory. If that's the case wouldn't it be better just placing my order straight with China and having my lights to me within 7-10 days?

We order in advance, but it is hard to predict the number of orders. The business has been growing rapidly, so we are having minor delays. We are almost caught up, and expect value fixtures to be in stock next week. The main benefit is our warranty, and expertise that Chinese companies do not offer.

Ok cool that's good to know. I'd rather not wait on shipping from China.

Im going to test my par output tomorrow from my diy lights and if the par sucks I will place an order with you when you get them in stock.

Also, would you recommend the 120 or 90 optics? Mind you these will be in a canopy approximately 12-14 inches tall. If I did go with the 90's, the hanging kit provided probably wouldn't allow me to hang the unit high enough to get decent spread would it?

I'm currently using TEK/T5 light system and considering trying out LEDs. Hopefully someone can offer some advice, with a 4ft long tank, If I opt to go with the Photon 32 with the default (4ft tank layout they have on their webiste) What would be the optimal (coverage wise and PAR) hanging distance between the light and the surface water?? I'm worried about losing light on the sides of the tank..

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

Or....... Would 2 of thevalue fixtures with 120dg optics provide me with greater coverage area as opposed to the Photon 32 /w default 4ft tank layout? Thanks!!!

Random question but does anybody have a good light schedule they want to share with the class? Ive been meaning to make one but can't find the time lately.

For starting ill post the one I just made to start with if you want but it only goes up to 30% max since I just got the light

i was looking at these also... what would be good for a 40 breeder with mix reef ? 2 value fixtures or would the 24 controllable be enough with no shadow on the sides ?

So I am in need of a new light.
Logan do you change anything in the fixtures or are they exactly the same as the chinese ones?

They offer a 3 year warranty also.

And from everywhere i have read that the reefbreeders takes 2 months to recieve.
If i order direct from china they will have ti to me in 7 days.

What do use have your lights at max during the day I'm going to crank mine up a little st max its in 30% what do use use as your max?

How long did it take for you guys to get your lights? I ordered mine Feb. 26 and they still haven't shipped. I'm starting to get a little concerned. He hasn't responded to my resent call\email.

I have a reefbreeders value fixture on half my 90G with full colors, and an equivalent DIY rapidled system on the other half. The rapid is def brighter, but the reefbreeder is awesome. I run mine at 50% whites and around 70% blues, about 6"s off the water, with them running about 10 hours a day. The rapid does a sunrise and sunset effect about 2 hours ramping up and down. I've had great growth with all my corals, including SPS, clams, LPS and softies, although ALOT of stuff bleaches near the top, so I keep most stuff lower.

I'd be patient and order from Logan at reefbreeders, ordering from china on ebay has bit alot of people in the butt when something arrived damaged/not working right;)

FTS taken last night, this is about 5 months after I got the LED's.
