Who uses reef breeders led

Its the camera. lol i have the same set up as pinemire. its a totally different view than T5 I'll say that! T5 tends to blend the light. areas that were kinda shadowed before are now more realistically shadowed. as in dark. i couldn't believe the shimmer and the first time we did royal blue only omg some ugly corals now are my fav!

Glad to hear it I love the hanging rig looking to do almost the same thing with heavy duty shelving brackets good luck and keep us updated so far I'm doing ok a few wired occurrences here and there but still rolling ahead

If I want two value LED fixtures for a 75 gallon, how high above the tank should they be? I want to have SPS near the top, and LPS in the sand bed. The tank is 21" tall. Also what optics would be best for this?

Not to step on toes, but I have 2 16" 120w w/120*optics over a 22" deep 4'x2' 110g tank and I can grow SPS anywhere in the tank including the sand bed. I have them about 7-8" over the water

We talked and my light should be on it's way now. Although I still haven't received a tracking # yet which is scaring me. Yep I checked spam..

Sorry for not getting back to you, I have not been watching this thread. pm me if you need tracking info. Did you receive your light yet?

Thanks. Are you in stock on the value LEDs? What optics would be good for 30g standard tank?
They will be in stock in about a week.

with 120s, you will be at 3-6" off of the water with 2 units.

After a long wait mine finally arrived! Totally worth the wait! I ended up hanging them until I figure out how I want to mount in the canopy.

Currently I have a quad T5 over a 26 gallon bow front. 24" x 15" x 18". I have been reading through forums and have decided one par38 will not cut it. I think the value led set would be god for my tank. Can I set it on some rails and get the spread needed?

I left an O out good not god. Is there a way to edit a post?

Very interesting. So for those with 40 breeder tanks .36x18x16

Are u using 2 value fixtures , or a 24 or 32 proton ? I am wanting to know which way to go myself. Thanks Guys!

My tank layout wit added fist size zoa rocks in the corners on the right. Just the other day. This pic is from a month ago.

it depends on how high you want to hang the fixture. either the 24 or 32 will work but the 32 will give you better coverage and more par at a lower mounting/hanging height.

you will definitely need the 32 then mounting that close to the water I would think

im trying to follow this thread and all the info is awesome... keep it up. maybe this has been asked and i missed it. the value 120 seems to be all i need. other fixtures like AI have tonssss of option but i dont see myself using most of them. lighting wise, how much better can an maxspect, vega or AI really be? if this light has dimming option, whites, blues, other colors why pay 400 or 500 bucks it less than $200 does the trick? i am using a DIY i built over my 90 and its been great but does not dim and sps can only look healthy if placed higher in tank. i did the calculations and the value 120 is about 50% brighter than my light. im guessing that sps would look better in the middle. possibly lower than mid. i may upgrade to 2 of these in my 90g.

If anyone needs to know. On the proton32 the screw hole spacing is : front to back is 5-7/16 , and from end to end is 21-1/4...... Just a FYI for anyone wanting to know for bracket mount.

I've had the Photon32's running for almost 6 months now on my 125 gallon. I've had the 16" running for 6 months prior to the new tank on my old 34 gallon. Coral look outstanding, and SPS has grown and colored up considerably.

My fixtures are slightly custom however. I swapped green for 495nm ebay cyan leds, and added 4 430nm purple to each fixture.

I'll have a growth shot, and some tank shots later. I have a new tricolor acro less than two weeks old that has colored up to a deep purple.

I've run a Maxspect Razor, Radion Pro, several chinese fixtures, and a DIY light over my tanks. If you're not going to go the DIY route, the Photon's are the best value, most modifiable fixtures on the market right now by far. They also happen to make your tank look great.

I just got a photon 24 for my 29g. Im wondering what range of height im going to want to have it. im thinking 8 in but i dont have it yet so i guess i'll have to wait and see how much coverage i get off it

Been 3 weeks now and still no shipping info or a light at my door.... Anyone on the east coast have this issue. I ordered it April 19th. Getting alittle upset
