so can I program these fixtures to dim from any intensity from 0-100% throughout the day by just setting a timer with the on board control panel?!

There is seriously no quality reviews on YouTube that I can find.

I have mine come on about 1030, and off at midnight, increasing in intensity every 30 minutes until about 530, then decreasing from there. Currently my peak is 85% Blue, and 60% White, but only for an hour a day.

The value fixture is not programmable. You need at least the photon 16. But at only 10 bux more why not get the 24

Yes, that is way to much in my opinion. In my tank, 36x24x22 with a black back, and gray sand, I measure 300 PAR 11" below the surface at 70 blue and 40 white. At 100/100 I was over 600 PAR at the same 11" mark, basically DOUBLE what SPS need to thrive. At 4 hours like that, your corals will reach photo inhabition and start to bleach and die quickly.

Need to use the Photon to do that.

As for the difference between the 16 and 24, the 16 actually may actually provide better PAR numbers over a lesser area. The 16 and 24 share the same number of LED's, the 24 spreads them out more.

I went in and changed that, so the brightest point is ch1 75% ch2 70%

I'm replacing a beamswork led. Its128 .2w 10000k - 32 .2w actinic. I really don't have much now other than a birds nest and what I think is tree or cauliflower coral. The light is like 7" off top of water maybe a little higher

Within 8 hours of installing this fixture my acan went from a shriveled white and green shell to this, and my mushies grew about 4 times their size. It was a bit of a wait, but just like everyone else, now that it is here, I say we'll worth the money.

I've run all of the models over the past year, from the value to the photons. I've written extensive reviews and PAR measurements on them, have torn them apart and studied every piece, changed my led layout 8+ times via soldering new leds in, and have had excellent results.

I just bought a bunch of browned out acro colonies that I'm looking to do growth/color shots with over the next few months. Should give a good idea of what these things are capable of.

Right now in the led market, its one of the best bangs for the buck with positive feedback from many reefers. I love mine.

Very easy. The optics twist off and on within seconds. Reef Breeders sells the extra leds and labels the + and - sides. If you know how to solder a little bit, you can replace a led in seconds.

I've gone a bit further. I use some leds not available to purchase from them, 495nm cyan and 430nm violet.

There is a trade off. The reef breeder leds have a special IC in them where if one led dies, the rest wont go out. Those non-reefbreeder leds dont. Not really a big deal though if you are opening and soldering in the first place. I haven't had 1 led die in over a year.

I believe the violet is beneficial, but the cyan may/may not be necessary. It does fill some spectrum where the other leds don't.
