I know you guys are overwhelmed by the simplicity of the system but geez easy with comments :)

That tank is inspirational ... I’m going bare bottom ! Now I gotta find the time to do it

Sumps are really nothing more than a place to hold equipment....a lot of people don't run any mechanical filtration just like he is doing. Tank looks amazing.....strange that he has almost 0 phosphates and nitrates. With all those fish (and bright coral colors) they must just be used prior to the test kits picking them up.

Not taking anything away from this tank, it is beautiful. But I agree with the below. People use sumps out of convenience to hide some of the equipment we use to run a tank. I don't think anyone says you can't have a beautiful tank without running a sump

Beautiful tank and thanks for sharing.

The lack of comments may be due to that fact that it is for the most part a Berlin System tank. That methodology has been around for more than 30 years, but is still viable if done correctly....

Thanks! Much better version of what I was trying to say!

For all the simplicity you think he invest in wire management for the 5 peices of equipment :p
It os a very clean system. I enjoy the minimalist rock work. Actually out of the whole thing what i am most curious on is how much rock to volume he has.

i saw this the other day, love this tank. sucks most of his vids arent in english. especially good for newbies like me who listen to 'experts' on forums and what not saying you need a huge sump, huge skimmer, huge refugium, etc. when that isnt exactly the case

There are lots of ways to create a healthy ecosystem. Some are easier replicated for newer reefers, and some take a bit more of the savvy and experience that comes with time. Certainly, there are few absolutes.

I like the system, but to be honest and not offensive it looks like you bought colonies and put them in a tank and set up a video a couple months later. The true test to the system will be your sustaiablitly over time, not saying you can’t just saying it will not be easy and I have my doubts.
