Who would win: acro or birdsnest?

By birdsnest are you referring to poccilopora? sertiopora? stylophora?

Also different species of acropora are more suited to aggressive competition than others. Tabling species of acropora will be very competitive whereas something like a smoothie/deepwater species, not so much.

Agree that a healthy acro will win a battle with most sertiopora, esp if S. hystrix type, but
If its a S. calidenrum (bird of paradise) it may be close, those polyps can have some reach and, just like some poccilopora their tentacles have little enlarged light colored ball looking tips filled with a high concentration of nematocysts, called acropsheres whereas acropora tentacles lack these acrospheres my knowledge.

Title says it all
This Bird of Paradise Seriatopora fell over on the little Acro frag, stayed resting on it for an entire day until i was able to get home and move it, and within next two days almost 90% of tissue is gone!

Pocillopora and stylophora are not birdsnest. Only setiatopora are.
