Whoops MY Bad! Did I mess up bad?

I was cleaning my fish tank today, because I was going to start adding water tomorrow and noticed there was hard algae still on, so the dummy said let me try a razor blade. As i was razoring, i got to razor happy and went too far, and now i cut my silicone and lifted it. What do you guys think? Should I add more black glue to it to seal it up?

All the way? Remove 2 inside?

The silicone on the outer edge is a lot less important than what is in the joint itself. I wouldn't worry about it.

If it's just the small amount on the wall I would think you should be ok

So you guys dont think I should re apply the glue? I dont want a snail, hermit, or fish later on picking at it and ending up lifting it more you know. Maybe I get too worried. This is on the 2nd level of my home, thats why I ask.

What glue? do you mean re-silicone it? To get a good bond you will need to scrape ALL the silicone off and then reapply. New silicone does not bond to cured silicone.

I've done that in a few tanks. O.O It's just so easy to clean a glass tank that way, it's almost fun..... almost.

Get one of the new Tunze algae scrappers. The medium size has a metal blade on one side and plastic on the other. The scraper stays lifted off the tank so you won't scratch it with any sand. I use the nano and medium on my tanks and love them. The metal blade does a job on the most stubborn algae.

I have this one too. I stopped using razor blades thanks to this.
