Who's interested in beta testing my Amazon Alexa / APEX skill?

I could not figure it out so I ended up "Disabling" the skill and then enabling it again. That forced the relink process.

The first beta trial ended at midnight. I started a new trial earlier today as soon as I noticed.

You can definitely relink it at any point to go through setup again. I'll check the logs next time you use that same command and see what's happening.

I would love to have my alexa control my reef, is it still open to new testers? if so please pm me and I'll send my email to you. I have a couple of these dots around my house doing nothing..lol

I'm having a little trouble keeping up with all the new requests! Please hold tight until I can get everyone added to the beta program. If you're interested in trying and haven't already PM'd me your email address, please do so. Your Alexa email address is all that's required to get started.

I will preface this question with the fact that I only know what is in this thread regarding alexa and apex authentication and your application. I have not looked over the code or attempted to develop my own skills, but could you elaborate on this alexavoice user? Does it use a key or certificate of some sort to authenticate? a password? is the password dynamically created or is it the same for all instances?

I am interested in what prevents you (or anyone with access to the code) from accessing my controller?

@Joe Carioti will have to confirm, but since he is buried I will attempt an answer. It uses the same authentication method as fusion but with a new user. The same way that neptunesupport accesses your apex. At least that's what it looks like to me on quick inspection.

I however do not have an Apex. I am a simple guy and really haven't had interest in purchasing an APEX but one really would be awesome on my set up. Since recently getting into the smart home trend I too have Echos all through my house. I have hue lights in every room. Future plans to add a Nest thermostat, Nest security cameras, a Roomba, and door locks too.
