Just seeing who's running this configuration successfully? I have two xf330's and two mp40's and want to make sure they're playing nice with each other. I'm really tired of ESL and it dropping/changing my programming on it's own.
Also, when are we going to see vectra support? I really want to buy the wave engine, but I want to be covered.
Cheers!

I run two 330s mounted vertically and two mp40qds in my 5 foot 120 gallon. I don't have them connected to each other in any way. The mp40s are managed by my Apex, but the gyres are managed through their controller. Not sure if that is what you were looking for or not, but there ya go!

Looking for people using the Hydros WaveEngine for controlling these pumps. I'm currently running them separately via reeflink and the Maxspect controller respectively.

I also have this combination but did not hook up yet, curious what other’s setting on this too.

I run 2 230s and 3 mp40s on my 90

That’s a TON of flow.

I have two mp40s and 2 xf280s on my 280.

The gyres are on each side.
The mp40s are on the back of the tank.

Running gyres at 60% front and 40% reverse - alternating between each other.
Running mp40s at 40% during day and 10% during night.

I’m running 2 xf-250’s, 2 jebao wp-16’s and a icecap 2k gyre in my 180. And once I get my other apex/jebao connector I’ll be running 2 pp-8’s through it as well. The pp-8’s run through their own controllers right now. The 2k gyre magnet doesn’t really want to hold through the thickness of the glass so I’ll likely have to change to 4K gyres.

You're running everything through the apex, right? I'm looking for this combo using the Hydros.

The jebaos run by hooking them to the jebao/apex adapter from reefbreeders or wherever you get one. You use the apx cable in the 0-10v out. And you connect the rj45 plugs into the J/A adapter. Each plug is 2 0-10v channels. It takes 2 channels to run the 2 jebaos. The same as if you where running them off of an apex on v1/v2. And if you are talking about actual controller, I have a Profilux 4. I haven’t tied my controller into the hydros yet because I haven’t had the time.

I am trying to not luck yet running two MP60’s and two gyre 350’s. Again still trying to make these work with Wave Engine

What issues are you having? I know they use groups, just wondering if they can't be grouped together? I would like to use it as if there were four MP's, two on the back and two on the sides, similar to ecosmart back in NTM.

Well I don’t have my MPs hooked up to it because I think I need to upgrade the firmware on the MP 60s which is also an issue .I’m having trouble finding how to upgrade firmware, When I tried to hook up my gyros which were brand new I got a locked out message Coralvue sent me a new motor block I need to the new motor block

If you have a reeflink, you can upgrade through ecosmart live.

But MP60’s don’t connect via reef link they connect via the wxm module.
Never used an Apex - But cant you update Vortech firmware through the WXM? Thought i read that was a requirement when putting Vortechs on the WXM

I just saw your other thread about updating the firmware. If the manufacture date is 2019, I don't think there's an update to your pumps? Did you contact Ecotech directly to confirm? Also, reach out to Coralvue again, it may be an automatic message generated by the wave engine?

Just 2 gyres here on a 48x36x22 tank. More than enough flow, in fact I keep them dialed down to 40%. I replaced 2 MP60's with these and these are way more flow than the vortechs were.

Not knocking your post at all but - Ive never understood the Gyre to Vortech flow comparison, like comparing a carrot to a potato - The gyres footprint is much bigger than the vortech, so has to give off more flow by standard logic..... Always thought the main reason for going Vortechs for every one was primarily aesthetics followed by flow and controllability. Gyre will always dish out more flow than a Vortech, but its an ugly old eyesore in anything less than a very large tank.
