Just ordered 4 liters and gonna try these and cut the Zeo. I am still gonna do the Zeobac and some of the additives I still have but I plan on doing these instead of daily dosing of the zeo.
Thoughts, suggestions? Who's using these and whats your experience with them?

i have been seriously considering it, but mostly watching the thread and reading along, still too many "meh" reviews before i drop that kinda coin i wanted to hear some more USA reviews...let us know how it goes. i really want it to work...

Lots of people in my local club are doing it with great results. I am surprised nobody here is doing it yet. In fact one of the guys using them in my local club who had a RC tank of the month has seen such an improvement he says he wouldn't be surprised if every reefer was running them in the next few years.

I would love to use them, but have been vodka dosing for sometime and can't justify switching with the cost. I might try them down the road when/if the price comes down.

i read a thread somewhere and they werent happy with it..i cant remember where it was but i have been considering them myself...if i could cut down the rawaphos or cut it completly, it would be be around the same cost...

I have been GFO free for 6 months since v dosing...

I dose vodka daily but I don't own a Hanna yet so I still run gfo just to be sure... And I only dose 1 mg a day since the second week and have stayed there the same with mb7 low dose I like to error on the side of caution...;)

Are those pellets just for nitrate removal? I looked into them but they seem expensive. I run GFO for P04 and a sulphur denitrator for nitrate.

They are for nitrate and phosphates. Everyone I know of in my local club (bostonreefers) thats using them has ditched the gfo and fuge altogether and say they are great. The cost is alot but the zeo I am dosing isn't much cheaper. The one guy I mentioned above who had the TOTM was doing vodka and switched over with better results. Mine are on the way so I will document my results here.

Its been about a week since I started so its still early but I have definately noticed that they do release a "mulm" just like the zeo did that the corals feed on I guess. My water got cloudy after the second day but has since cleared up and is considerably clearer then it was before. I usually have to run a filter sock to keep the water this clear, but now its as clear without a sock. So far so good.

i am on my 3rd week of using them and the jury is still out. i have removed all the algae in fuge and i am still running GFO but i noticed the water is cleaner and i am going on cleaning the glass every 5 days vs every 3 days.
the only drawback so far has been the initial cost of the BP and the clogging of the sponges in the reactors.

Yeah, my sponges were clogging too. I have a huge reactor its 6 inch diameter and 30 inches tall so I was able to take out the sponges altogether after a few days as the pellets never make it up high enough to exit the reactor. I have them tumbling at a good rate and still keep them at the bottom but again its only because my reactor happens to be huge.

I'm running them on my SPS Tank. I would say my vote is present...

I dont have an opinion on them yet but made one huge experimental mistake...

I switched MH lights for LEDs, switched from TM Reg to TM Bio-Actif Salt and added pellets all within 2 months.

MY tank never looked better.

Cant say the primary help but corals are happy with more colour.

I'll start the experience soon also. Just received and plugged my MR1 shorty reactor, and should receive the pellets in one or two days.

Nick, who is the local reefer to you running pellets that was TOTM.

I know several people using them and their comments vary greatly, although the trend I've seen is that the concept is "there" and "good", but the polymer these are made of isn't as efficient as advertised.

I have been using them for about 6 weeks
PHosphates went from .06 to 0.00 in about 4 days. still running gfo just havent got the courage to move to the big boy pants and leave them out. Other than that working well. High initial cost but overall not bad.
