Found in my tank yesterday. Probably 1/4 inch long, sways in the current but I'm not sure if it can move itself. There all day yesterday, not visible this morning.
Not great image quality, I know. Had to zoom in quite a bit. The whole thing appears to be a single, long structure. The up end is wider; the long, lower part on the left side is serrated.
Could it be part of my large, striped, serpent star (seems like the wrong color pattern)? Could my candy pistol shrimp still be alive and this is part of a molt or something (seems too flexible)?
If I see it again I'll break out the big camera and try for a better pict. I didn't even think to do that yesterday.
