iv just checked my par again after lifting my lights to 9inch above surface of water and this is whot I have!

highest point under lights is 350-380par
mid level rocks at 300-320 down to 250 at sides
on sand 250-270 par with 160 in left and right corner area!

would this be ok with

Euphillia torch corals
Catalaphillia Elegance coral
Gonipora

whot other lps could I go with in this range

All lps should be good with your lighting range

You should be fine if you want to eventually keep SPS. If you only want LPS and softies you could lower the intensity to get 100 - 150 on the sandbed which will still give you a pretty decent 200 - 250 on the middle rocks.

If you do keep it where it is some newer softies and LPS will fry if started too high in the tank. Anything coming from a lower par of 150 and dropped into 350 is going to fry. The soft tissue just cant take it.....I have done this stupidly. :(

Most LPS are kept around 150 give or take depending on the reffer. A lot have SPS in their tanks and read like yours or HIGHER par at the top and middle of rocks. The key is to slowly acclimate them. Start them all on the sand bed in lowest par.

+1. I have a frogspawn and torch in 350+ par. I slowly brought them up from the sand bed. Go off of colors, they will tell you if they’re happy or not :)

thanks guys" its really sps that im going with but tanks only running for 3-4 months with fish know! so thought id put few lps on sand and low down to start before going sps because was told wont a tank at least 8 months old for sps

should I only use the front or back set of t5 tubes what the heck LED to start because are control on apex

Yes, you’ll want an older tank (atleast 8 months) for sps. I would run both sets of t5’s so the lps aren’t shocked when you turn them on.

my hydra 26 hds are only running around 68% blue/violets/uv and only 27% white for 11.30 morning to 9.30 night and the 4 x 80wt t5 lights come on at 12 midday to 5 o clock" only 5 hours!

would you run led lights less power or maybe lift light unit up a few inch

My LPS are all fine under 350ish par with the exception of my purple tipped hammer, he needs around 150 to have good colors for some reason. I keep him shaded.

Just looking at you picture ,, nice set up btw :) maybe add more fish before getting heavy into corals ,, I see a couple of what looks like clowns, that's about it ,,
