Restarted my 80 rimless and i am getting red slime like crazy all over the sand. I used old snad but cleaned the crap out of it for 2 days straight, new live rock and that was all cycled.

Tank specs

80g rimless
1x vortech mp10
about 100lbs of lr

Temp 77
Salinity 1.025
Ammonia, nitrites and nitrates and phosphates are not detectable in tank

Light are on from 10am-7pm
Blues (10-12) Whites (12-6) Blues (6-7)

RODI systems are brand new filters

Two tangs and thats it for fish
Small CUC nasrias snails, turbo snails, but not a lot of algae on glass for the to eat

Weekly water change of 10-15 gallons of reef crystals

SUMP
40 breeder
2x filter socks cleaned weekly with sink water and rinsed out good
DSB in refugium with more live rock and lots of chaeto
Tunze skimmer rated way beyond for the tank

I never have had a problem with slime before when i had mh on the tank before the break down just went i have had the ai sol and even when i had my radions i had slime problems...please help!!

If anyone has any suggestions please help

Something must be feeding it. Have you taken your water to a LFS to verify your test kits are reading correctly? Did you run a TDS meter on your RO/Di water? Might want to remove the filter socks for a week or two or rotate filter socks so they can completely dry out between uses.

Yes I have brought to store same results and yes tds meter is 0 too

I always get it in every new set up at around the 4th month even with zero p and n.
Them it goes away by itself in 4-8 weeks.
sometimes I use microbacter and it seems to help.
