Hi Everyone
So I changed the duration of lighting a little over a week ago from 8-10hrs
Atinic was at 8 then added 2 hrs
And the whites stayed the same at 4 hrs

This is what I came to yesterday and I just changed the lights back to 8 hours

Help me please... my blastos look fine but Monti look bleached... what can I do?

And my zoas aren't opening anymore and also my hammer isn't really coming out either

What are your parameters? Any spikes in your alkalinity recently? Have you checked both the Montipora & the Zoanthids for nudibranchs?

i havent check in past few days but when i noticed the coloring/bleaching the parameters were all fine and were same as previous week. ill check them again when i get off work.

i do not know if i do... i havent noticed any but what should i look for to see if i have any?
there is the little cone thing in the zoas is all i notice different and there was an itty bitty snail size of an ant in the zoas that came out of the zoas a few days ago but i havent seen it since

Looks like your sps corals stn and are gone. I'll bet you had an ammonia spike, that's why your zoas are all closed up.

Mg?
Alk?
No3?
Po4?
Ca?
Salinity(Specific Gravity) SG?

How old is your tank?

Here is what I would do..
Start changing water :)

Also
Are you injecting air?
I see a lot of microbial bubbles hinting at a bacteria problem

Why would a common bacteria bloom only effect certain corals? I understand that lighting strikes sometimes, but why these two in particular?

They are more susceptible :)

pH swings usually hit sps the hardest. My zoas usually weather the swings. My sps stn.
