My 2 nerite snails used to move around, eat, etc. as you would expect. Now they just stay where they are and don't move for days. Maybe one will move an inch now and then, but that's it. I had a small amount of ammonia once last week (just enough to detect) and did a quick water change, but that's it. Cerith snails seem OK. What could be wrong?

Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 9
Temperature: 78 deg.
Ph 8.1
Salinity 1.025
Phosphate 0.03

Why are you testing for ammonia?
Is your tank cycled?

Theres likely little to no food source for them anymore...
Cuc need a well balanced ecosystem to thrive properly.
My snails die when they starve.

My tank is fully cycled and has no fish. I was testing for ammonia because I accidentally squeezed a whole syringe of reef roids into the tank the previous week. The ammonia was only at <0.15, the lowest detectible level in the Salifert test. There is plenty of food for them.
