Why are there so many guests browsing? Join now!

Hope this thread is acceptable.

After finally joining in Feb this year I am kicking myself for waiting so long.

Right now we have more guests online than members. They need to join today!

What can we do to show the guests how great this place is and how fun it is to join.

Hopefully they will read this and take the 15 seconds to join and introduce themselves.

Maybe share 1 brief story on great experiences here to help?

You do realize that sometimes people keep tabs open, and after some time it will log you out?(if you don't click the remember me box when logging in).

In essence you become a guest. I'm guessing of course, but that would explain the unusual amount of guests lately.

You know, I always glance at how many members and guests are logged on and wonder if the guests are reefers or just web surfers out there checking out something new. I can't imagine any reefer out there that wouldn't want to be a part of our community.

If it's friendly then the site and the information available can't be "real" or taken seriously. Critical thinking is not something taught these days and it is rarely learned. My psychology degree getting the best of me there...

I've been in the hobby since 2004. Didn't join R2R till 2017. Really glad I did! I enjoy it immensely more than the last forum I frequented.

It could just be people who haven't logged back in after the forum change. I didn't bother to log back in for a while and simply looked around as a guest.

I'm old so friendliness is not looked at cynically but embraced as a fresh and welcoming invitation so, yes, that is exactly why I joined! ;Happy

Many of them could be bots. A website with this much constant traffic is a prime target for spam bots. I haven't seen it in a while, but for some time the bots would flood the forum with spam posts in the middle of the night. The posts would get deleted once mods came back online.
