Why aren't stags more popular?

My blue stag is the fastest grower and pretty much the center piece of my tank. I have a purple one and a green slimer growing around it just not as fast. With some trimming of "big blue", I'm hoping they catch up and the contrasting colors will look great.

What is that blue stag called? I love it.

I have no clue. I bought it as a sad browned out frag a couple of years ago from my LFS. It was pretty small and I wasn't even sure it was a stag until it started to take off. I have not fragged it at all since I bought it. It's just growing the way it wants with the flow pattern of my tank I guess.

I strongly believe we all do have stags in our tank. Tonga rocks are cool colorless stags almost every reefers does have. That is why we are seeing less of those alive in our tank.

The ORA wedsite has 6 or 7 maybe more . Your lfs should be able to order them

I love Stags I not much on monti's as they can grow and shade other corals.

More about aquarium for me I don't' have a big tank right now for plating monti's and kind of bored with them. I do have a leng sy monti but they grow rather slow.

I personally love all stags... in my current tank (which is 24" high) I made the scape around 10" which leaves me with 14" for them to grow... that might even become not enough room eventually;)
