Why aren't stags more popular?

Hemmdog I have been asking for people to post pics of their blue slimers and have never seen one yet. Thats defiantly my one acro I would drive a long way to acquire a piece of. I was hoping my blue stag would be a slimer but it turned out different so the hunt is still on... I like the frag on the right of your picture, the rounded coralites are really cool.
Yea that’s a blue stag it should be cool! Borealis to the left, also excited about that one. About the Bennett tort; I’m not totally sure my friend/ LFS owner just fragged his 5 year old colony though. So once they color up again I’ll grab a few

There is a blue slimer, just hard to find
Lol I have 3 different blue stag and they all slime if I touch them or take them out of water however the structure is not the same as a green slimer.

Yea the first two look very similar but the coralites are a little different and the last one looks like it could be something different altogether. I wouldn't mind having any of them really. The top two are cool and look like a slimer gomezi mix or something haha... I would like to see an update once more branches form.

Not sure if this "qualifies" for a Stag, but the original colony has a stag like appearance. This one has always been one of my favorites.

I have a colony very similar to this colony and fast grower. It was sold by a local reefer.

I was a bit tired of staghorns a while ago, they just grew up to the surface and needed to be fragged often. But after seeing some of them grow a couple of years in a 10000L tank at my work, I've changed my mind. You just need a lot of space so the colonies can get big and then they'll get more symmetric. :)
Here are first two pics from a 2000L tank, then a picture from the top of the 10000L tank.

And here's the large tank.

My favorite is the green with pink tips in the middle of the large tank. Do you think it could be an abrohlosensis? The colors and branches fit but the tips are so juicy pink we don't see that often in smaller tanks.

Sea Monkey I think a lot of people don't realize there are stags with multiple colors but most are just two colors. The tenuis craze has made color the main point for reefers though thats for sure. There are not many who choose coral according to growth structure anymore, most of the 10 year plus guys understand what I am talking about :)

True that my friend ;)

I avoid them because they grow unruly. Not popular either so when they are due for a trim they aren't the easiest to even give away.

What are the 2 stags with the really thick branches? The Teal looking one and the green one to the left of it?

Totally no clue on any naming. the teal one I have had for about 10 months. it has grown well and has been fragged a few times accientally. it seems to grow long and skinny, then it will bulk. the green one on the left is just a bright green slimer. the globy one on the right is new to my tank. it will have a deep purple tip when it starts extending.

Oh my I love that blue tip slimer in the middle!! Where are you located? That tank is getting there and might top some of these other popular stag tanks soon! Well done!!! Do you have other stags in there?

I have some tort that’s been growing for around 7 years I think. Here is the other side

Just did some feeding so a little cloudy

Frogspawn74, thoes slimer colonies are just insane! The one in the middle is the best, thoes branches are so long and thick, is that a 6 foot tank? Also where on earth did you find that orange brain??? That thing is nassssty!

I should be getting a new phone in a day or two so I will post some pictures of what stags I have then.

Oh and the other stag I haven't seen posted that should be around still is the Stubers stag. The one that was supposedly the first acro grown in a reef tank. Everyone says its brown but mine has some nice green and a little blue in the tips too.
