Hello,

I bought a nice chalice with a orange color on top. The original owner kept it under t5s. Unfortunately, I have leds and the orange faded.

Here is the before.

Under leds, it transformed into this

How do I get the orange back? It's all green, no orange. It sucks :(

It can be lot of factors, one is light change of course, spectrum and intensity come in play but also nutrients levels can play a big roll.
Some color change can also occur due to flow.

What kind of t5s would you add if you were to add 2 bulbs? I might add 2 t5s

Need to know more about what you have now for light and spectrum.
What is your No3 and Po4?
Same about PH and ALK?
I run a rapidled diy kit with:
15 royal blue
6 cool blue
6 cool white
3 lime

Alk 8
Cal 450
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0

Haven't tested pH in a while. I can do that for you tomorrow.
.
And it's a 30 gallon long nuvo fusion

If I was you I would put the T5 ad on to the back burner for now.
In stead I would feed the fish more in order to get a higher reading in Po4 (0.04) and a No3 (2ppm up to 4ppm).
LPS seams to do better in some dirtier water.

This happens to our 3G Mummy all the time water quality is not a factor IMO.
Under t5 it'll be a really bright orange and under LED it'll turn neon green. Its just one of those unsolved mysteries right now lol

What would you say would happen to a 3g mummy under led and t5?

I have heard of this with chalices in regards to changing to green under LEDS
