Why did BRS removed all Tunze skimmers except COMLINE?

I looked at BRS to possibly buying a skimmer (I'm late 20 years! :p )
I've decided on the Tunze 9410 DC skimmer but I see that BRS does not offer Tunze skimmers anymore. In fact, they removed all products in the skimmer/filter section and only have the internal "in tank" COM modelsL The 9001, 9004 and 9012.

It's an awesome skimmer line: The DOC 9410, 9415 9430 and the 9460. BRS and Tunze issues? Is Tunze going to discontinue the "in sump" DOC skimmer line? Anyone have an inside scoop on this?

Response from Tunze from same thread in their forum:
BRS has never carried our in sump skimmers. You can get them from AquaCave, Premium Aquatics, Champion Lighting, Saltwater Aquarium.com, Aquarium Specialty and Marine and Reef. The 9410 DC will likely be a long wait, we have the regular 9410's in stock, but with the shortage of IC's DC pumps are getting harder and harder to produce and the lead times only get longer.

There’s something deeper than that happening at Tunze. I’ve been using there kit for quite some years. The rep in the UK was sent a faulty Stream to be repaired. Said it had to go back to Germany. That was a year ago. No more Tunze for me.

Who cares about BRS? Stop using them.....they charge higher prices and also tax. There are many other suppliers you can look into.

A lot of vendors carry the 9410 dc but it seems to be sold out for now. Put in some request to notify when in stock. Or maybe consider the 9410 without the dc pump. I doubt there is that much difference in performance looking at the specs of both.

Premium Aquatics, Aquacave, and Fragtastic all carry the Tunze line. I'm sure there are many other vendors as well.

I do agree as mentioned that Tunze may be working on a new line so the 9410 dc may have stopped being produced.

I spoke with the Tunze rep and he stated that they are having the same issues that most companies are having, tough to get good employees and the worst ones are all you can get.
I am a big Tunze fan, so this new news is a bummer.
