Why did I buy a goby?

Well a month ago I decided to get a new fish, to bring my total count to two ha. It was between a Randall goby or a Midas blenny. Really wish I would have gotten the blenny ha. The goby is pretty, but so boring and skiddish. I can barely walk by the tank, without him darting back into the rocks, with his pistol shrimp. Do they eventually come out more?

Yes! Took mine about a year. Now the shrimp and goby both come out all the time and love to be spot fed. Pretty funny to see a little shrimp jump up to the turkey baster lol

He has a role with the shrimp and this also includes warning the shrimp so they are on the ball with what is going on.
Mine doesn't leave his side until I feed the tank but he doesn't venture far from his buddy

He has his days, sometimes he is out perched on a rock, just observing. Other days I don't see him it all. I can say, since his first day in the tank he has definitely warmed up. Seems to recognize me, doesn't dart so easily.

I am glad to hear that he doesn't dart easily anymore! I love it when fish recognizes me and actually seems happy when being fed
