How long did you have him. How long did he stop eating before he died. If he died just days after you got him, could be osmotic shock due to improper acclimation. If his appetite seemed ravenous before he stopped eating, could be internal parasites. Obviously no definitive answer, other possibilities include organ failure caused by chemical poisoning. Could be copper or other meds, or cyanide being used during collection, tank cleaners.

um 2 weeks? I put him in a acclimation box for 2 days and he seemed fine so i let him out. he stopped eating for 2 days and died

If your water checks out and you acclimated him fine, there's nothing you did. If you didn't see any visible signs of disease or infection, it was likely internal, something we may never know.

Fox faces do not handle stress well. My 2 year old one died because I did not feed the tank for 3 days and he just died. Yours probably could handle the stress of your new tank. That’s my guess.
