I have a large green bubble tip anemone who has been in my tank for almost a year now, and has take 3 or 4 walks to the front or back of the rocks for no apparent reason but, always comes back to the same spot. I haven't changed anything ,all my parameters are in check ,and i just fed it yesterday. Don't know if this is a question Anyone can answer, but if so please do.

I don't think anyone has a solid answer for a lot of the things BTA's do. Surely they are responding to some kind of stimulus, but determining what that is has been nearly impossible from what I've read and experienced.

This is why I got rid of mine, always moved onto my zoas too. Real nice to have but def a pain sometimes.

As far as moving, mine hasn't moved an inch since it found its sweet spot. Hopefully he doesn't walk anywhere! Jaywalking is illegal in my tank.

Once mine found his home he hasn't moved in 2 years. Then one day he started moving around, maybe 6 or 7 inches max on the same rock. About a week later it split! One half went back to its original position, the other about 5 inches away... now I have two and they both look great!

Not saying yours will split, just giving you my experience with him/her moving. :)

I have had some that walked every few weeks, and others that stayed put thru most anything and then often started moving only when they wanted to split.
More than likely they are not happy when moving
