I have had my second fish in 2 weeks take a jump...a 7" regal & now my 10" niger...I don't have any stray voltage in the water...I do have 2 pair of spawning clowns that may have chased them away from the eggs! would this have happened? I have had both for 3 years?

Its odd why some fish jump...I have lost wrasses but finally decided to go with a mesh top before i put my herm of flame wrasses in.

you never know what causes a fish to go carpet surfing.

WOW, very sorry.. There must be something in there harrassing them. You should consider a mesh top for your tank. It sure gives me peace of mind.

were can I get a mesh top? I really need one....also with this difuse light? Im thinking of adding some eggcrate around the edge? I can't imagine what would have harrased a 10" Niger trigger?

If you use the clear 1/4" ones you don't have to worry about it.. it's easy to use and make. But mine was more expensive as I used bait casting net, softer and made for small fish and not hurt them

Im sure I can go to lowes and make something....I wwill look into thats asap...I would like a few wrasse again ...all mine have jumped....I guess I have lots of flow causing the issue also...

you can also google " clear 1/4" mesh netting " pond netting etc.. easy to find and make your self
