Why do i have so much algae?

1. I do weekly 20percent H2O change
2. check all my parameters. Temp, PH, Specific gravity, alkalinity, calcium and Magnesium weekly
3. Siphon off all my live rock
4. make my own R/O water
Dose Alk and Calcium
only feed one cube of frozen every other day
What am I missing?

Hello, more info is needed. How old is the tank, what is your clean up crew, what fish do you have, how big is the tank. What are the parameters. You said ro water, are you also running di? What ro unit is it?

Yes. RO or RODI? How big is Tank? What livestock? What CUC? How old is tank.. etc, etc, etc???

What are your parameters right now?

Hard to say without knowing the age of the system. If the tank is less than a year old you could be testing NO3 and PO4 at near zero levels yet see a ton of algae. The nutrient are in there, and the algae is the take up source.
