Why do my acans and blastos slowly die on me?

I have become very depressed that I’m unable to keep most of my acans and blastos longer than a couple of months. But yet I have a euphyllia with 100+ heads, softball size A. bowerbanki and large Monti cap.! What is the deal????

Have you been feeding them?
A lot of LPS go into feed mode an hour or 2 after lights out.

I do feed .... but I will be honest — I should feed more! Great suggestion! I need to purchase more frozen food as well.

I did an ICP analysis. Everything looks good except low on Iodine and very low on strontium. Maybe this is part of the problem?

I target feed blastos and acans once a week with reef roids. They also capture mysis when the fish are fed.

Could it be too much flow or light?

I did up my light intensity, but only marginally. At peak intensity, my whites are at 12% of max. I did have red and greens at 5%, but as of last week I turned those back off. So ramp up my blues and UV to 100% and then back down to 0% over the course of the day. Water flow has been changed. Had a Jabao go out on me, so replaced with a MACNA floor sample of a Vortech knockoff. Looks like it puts out a lot of flow, but when i put my hand in the water, it barely makes it half way across the tank! so maybe this is culprit. Hard to believe this thing moves less water than the old Jabao.
Have been trying to feed more as well. I think I will do some water changes as well!

I was never able to keep acans until I started target feeding them. The strontium being low could be it as well. Have heard acans suffer with low strontium
