As the title states. I went on vacation for 3 weeks, came back and now most of my zoas look
Like this. It almost looks like they are being choked by algae or something.

I have the reagents coming in tomorrow to test the phosphates and nitrates but everything was fine before I left.

Is there anything I could do in the mean while? Should I buy an army of snails and hermits or there’s something else I should do?

Assuming of course that everything was fine before you left, I wouldn't change anything. Simply continue on as always and they should recover just fine.

One of the biggest issues in this hobby is that "knee jerk" reaction when something like this happens. "OMG I need to do this that and the other because its all wrong today!!" Why? If your tank was beautiful and lush before you left, then there is no reason to change anything. Keep on keeping on and it will recover all by itself.

True but I would like to fix this problem. It looks extremely ugly and I don’t want these zoas to die. Also the way they are extending doesn’t looks right either

Check all your parameters and assuming you had someone keeping an eye on the tank ask how long they've been closed, I had a similar experience and when checking everything it turns out my calcium had gotten quite low, now I test all parameters and log in aquarium note helps to see if you have made a change too like change of brand in additives etc but essentially I agree with Mr jedi don't do anything until you know what's going on and then make corrections over days or weeks depending on the results but they should recover too they're quite hardy little things them zoa's

Hydrogen peroxide dip will help but expect a few to melt.

Time will fix it. They look stressed, not dead. Zoas are extremely resilient. Almost bombproof. Just keep your regular scheduled maintenance up and it will recover.

Adding stuff for an instant fix will only create more problems down the line. Be patient. you will be fine.

Updated. My Nitrate is 18.2 my phosphate is 0.223.

I did a small big of RowaPhos in the filter cup and did a 5G WC. Hopefully this might be the issue
