Doing some maintenance this morning, changing out what equates to two-three handfuls of carbon in one of my media reactors that is the size of a small fire extinguisher. Why the hell do they make these things so large when only 1/4" of it gets filled. I know they have smaller ones but I'm just wonder at what point in time did this hobby use so much media for anything that made mfg's decide that such large media reactors were necessary?
