Why does hamer's take on this shape ?

So ,

Since i few months i have these 2 heads of paraancora .
Only i do notice that the shape diffrences from week to week .
Sometimes its alle balled up and like now its more pointed upwards .

Somoene has an idea ?

They are living creatures and will inflate / deflate / extend in different ways, depending on flow, current state of digestion/expelling waste, and if they are in the process of splitting. They can also be moody for a day or two from external influences like a lighting change, hermit/crab cleaning it, etc

THanks alot ! I do notice 4-5 new little heads on it base , maybe that could be a reason .

It could be. They divert energy to various processes. The hammer still looks healthy to me.

I add it to the bottom of the tank and it does alot better now , also more balled shape
