It's my experience that BTA with stubby tentacles are nutritionally challenged. Are you feeding the BTA and if so what? What type of lighting?

Mine did the same crap. I gave him a tiny piece of scallop and he looked a little perkier. I don't know why his mouth is exposed so much. It's sealed tight, but before he was very closed up.

I'm feeding him fresh uncooked shrimp he takes it every time lighting is 165w Chinese leds and a current marine led bar rated at 46w . he has made a turnaround since I got him

I feed mine half a prawn every Sunday. When small and tentacles are not out as much as they should it's a sign they are not getting the nutrition they need. make sure you only feed once a week as these guys take a while to consume the food

What kind of anemone is it? Cant remember the name but there is one similar to a small BTA. Stays similar in appearance to the one pictured.
