Why does my MP40 grill/shield keep flying off

Just as the question states, the shield or whatever of my MP40 keeps sliding off and flying into my tank. Every day. Is there any way to tighten it in some fashion?

Turn it clockwise so it locks into place? While I have never owned a 40, I would assume all wet sides are pretty much the same, and this is how my 10's lock the grill into place. Counterclockwise will "unlatch" the cage from the frame.

The cover has three locking tabs; line them up when you put in on the wet side and turn it counter clockwise. If the o-ring has failed, it may not stay in position.

The O Ring is gone! That is it. I found one in my tank a while back and wasn't sure what it was from. Now I need to find it, or figure out where to buy one. Thanks!

I wasn't able to find the o-rings for the QDs but Ecotech sent me a pair free of charge.
