why dont we have R2R build contests?

I was just wondering why we don't do R2R build and tank contest. there a ton of fun and it's a great way to join other in a build. I have done this on other reefing sites and it was a blast.

I tried to start one 2-3 years ago here and it got shut down fast.

anyway I think it would be fun and great way to interact with R2R and other reefers. #MODS lets do this!
some ideas for the builds.

~pico challenge
~nano challenge
~ supper budget build
~ under X amount challenge
~ SPS grow out challenge
~ softie challenge

that's just off the top of my hear I bet we could come up with some pretty good ones.
IDK I think it would be a ton of fun. anyone else?

I know right! there other contest I have been involved had either a price cap for some builds and/or had a getto section so most could join.

Not necessarily a build challenge but I’ve always liked the idea of grow challenges .

a Limited number of identical frags shipped to participants .
weighed and measured prior to starting the challenge .
Sadly living in Canada I can’t participate with others as shipping across the border isn’t available .

There is a build challenge going on right now with those little miniature desk top aquariums.

I always thought doing a 20 or 40 gallon budget build off would be super fun. Basically, build a tank as cheap as possible to look as good as possible. That or setting a strict budget limit. Like $500 or something for all equipment.

totally agree would be fun right. i had some sponsors willing to donate some gear too.
IDK I think this stuff is great fun even if you can join there nice to fallow along.
