Why has anemone shrunk so much . HELP!!

Yes, that light is appropriate for a fish only tank.

You won’t be able to keep any light loving coral/anemone with it; the Zooxanthellae (ZooX) algae they contain in their tissue (and have a symbiotic relationship with) needs high levels of light for food.
I see. Do you mind recommending a light i can purchase from petco?
Thank you so much!!!

None of the lights Petco offers on its site will be adequate.

The Viparspectra suggested above is probably one of the better economy lights.

Absolute cheapest you might be able to get away with would be 2-3 of these, but you’d have to also buy the mounts + sockets + smart plug(s) for timing:

Glad they made a slight come back but I’d be honestly surprised if they survived much longer from here forward unless some major changes happen.

If petco is your go too, I’d suggest asking questions here and not relying solely on them to give advice.

Do your research and ask questions. Good luck. Hope they pull through.

Check this out. Something like this will be able to keep anemones and corals.

Would this work?

I wouldn’t get that for your size of the tank if you want to keep a decent looking reef. From the reviews, it says it would produce around 130 par and it costs around $50. As opposed to the light I sent you, could produce around 5-600 + par at the bottom of your tank. Not to say you’ll need all that par, it’s just 130 par won’t produce a very colorful anemone. Besides it looks like the fixture lacks any other color LEDs so the spectrum is likely limited. Just for reference, my anemone is sitting at the top of my water and getting about 1000 par from radions and 4 T5 fixtures. Also heads up, that anemone is not supposed to be white. It’s likely supposed to be bright pink, red or green, when it’s healthy.

That light should be ok with both channels at max but it's not ideal. A reef Brite 50/50 (two of the single strips or a lumi lite pro should work (or an ai blade). You should list all water parameters

Lighting recommendations for 20g that you can get fast depending on amazon/location.
Viparspectra 165w, Nicrew 100w or 150w (ideal), Smatfarm 95w.
For me, Viparspectra and Nicrew 150 can be overnighted
