Why have Equal dose of ca an alk question?

So i know that you should dose ca and alk in Equal parts. But i am not dosing equal, but i have the levels i want.

so how do i correct this?

And should I correct this?

Again. I have levels i like (480 and 10dkh which keeps me with a high ph) with unequal doses. Im thinking about dialing back my auto dosers to say 10ml each and starting over with determining the consumption rate of my 1yr old 190tg.

Equal doses depends on the concentration of what you are dosing. It's not a hard and fixed rule that must be followed.

I'm an aquaforest user myself, and that is designed for equal doses of each of the three components.

If you have the levels you want, and they're stable, don't fix what's not broken.

It is just convenient. I measure ALK daily and dose ALK by dosing pumps twice per day and once by hand. I toss in about the same amount of calcium once per day. I test calcium about once Per week.

Not all products are designed for equal parts dosing.

It is ok to dose unequal parts, but generally that is not primarily because tanks have different than 1:1 demand. It is because things like water changes mess with the demand ratio.
