Why hold the fish?

im seeing more and more vendors holding fish. In the pics holding the fish in the pics. Don't this effect the slimecoat?

i’ve noticed that too ... might be for sense of scale (but people’s hands are different sizes too lol). ;Dead

would much rather just see them photographed from the side in a typical plastic holding container (or like LA/DD).

Its a weird trend thats been around for a long time. I think people mainly do it to give others a sense of scale. Seems unnecessary to me.

This. I have several that I can't get a good shot of because they never stop moving. Yes, I'm talking to you, Mr. 6 Line Wrasse.
