I put all my test results in Apex Fusion, so I'm in there almost daily and each time I see it, I can't help but wonder - why iodine?

Why specifically did they choose to emphasize that trace element, and not, say, iron or strontium, or any of the other lesser known but not so mysterious trace elements? What has iodine done to deserve such fame?

I was just searching the same thing and came across this unanswered thread.

Iodine does not last long in the water, it is used by softies, gorgonians and shrimps.
My iodide consumption is 2 ml per day and this dose keeps iodide in the 0.03-0.06 range.

It is a fair question.

I will say it is one (of two) elements that are always low on my ICP teste results. Even though I dose. I and K always come back low.
