What happened? It's half alive but doesn't look like it's going to make it.

I'm still new to the hobby and this is the first coral that I expect to lose. Hope it's not going to harm the rest. I did have it in a high flow area at the top of my tank but moved it as a last resort. Any feedback?

Phosphate was at .25ppm and Nitrate was at 2.5ppm so I did a water change. But this has been going downhill for about a month now

I've done 3 10% water changes and 1 20% water change over the last month.

Sometimes they just dont like your tank(so to speak) Not enough flow or light, or the right kind of light.

By high flow do you mean Laminar or turbulent.

Re examine your lighting as well. Spectrum is as important as intensity.

How are the rest of your sps doing?

And what is that sub-strait?

Many things could be causing it. Could simply not had made the transition well. Alkalinity, calcium, magnesium could all play a factor. Flow and Par could be off from previous tank it was in. Phosphates nitrates etc. could be any of those.

Having problems with my fish dying last about a month then they die could use someones help

Post a new thread and list your tank specs size age and water parameters. Glad to help.

The rest of my SPS are doing okay. I'm sure they could be doing better. I just got an Hydra26HD any suggestions of where to research the spectrum? Calcium is 440, magnesium 1300, and alk is 7.

I'm not exactly sure the name of the substrate.

The flow has been turbulent but then I had an algae outbreak as soon as I installed a ecotech mp10 so I lowered the intensity of the light and increased the flow to 100% with on the constant setting instead of letting it ramp up and down.

Asking about the substrate because of your algae prob. Is it live sand?
If you had an algae outbreak adding flow I'd have to guess detritus on the sand bed.
If you have yellow or orange sunglasses put it over your lens
