Why is my GSP receding?

hey all,

Any idea why my gsp might not be doing well? It’s located on a single rock at the bottom of my 75 gal.

Sal: 1.025
Kh: 8
Nitrate: 10-20

I did have a pretty bad algae outbreak but have since had turbo snails in there for the last 3 weeks. Maybe they’re bumping into it?
