Why is my Melanurus Wrasse sleeping so early?

I have had this melanurus wrasse for just over a month, and at first he was waking up and sleeping at lights on/off. However, now he is waking up super early like 2-3 hours before lights come on and just hovers in the bottom corner and then sleeps at like 3:30-4pm. Is this normal for this species? It can't be for sure... Tank parameters are stable and normal, tank is a 40B with only 3 other fish, a carpenter's wrasse and 2 clowns.

How long has your Mel been doing this? Since the time change? My fish get thrown off for a little bit when we move the clocks forward or back. Is he still eating ok?

Lol...mine goes to bed early too. I've had it for over a year. Lights out at 9:15 and he's been gone for an hour

He's been doing this maybe for a couple weeks now. Definitely more noticeable since the time change though. He eats perfectly fine, but only eats the one time out of the 2 times I feed because he's asleep so early.

I’ve found my fish wake up incredibly early (2-3 hours before light on) and the Halichoeres wrasses head to bed at around 3-4 hours before light off whilst the Cirrhilabrus head into the rocks around 1-2 hours before lights off. If I feed later then they will stay awake for that feeding however if I feed twice (one later and one earlier) they tend to sleep before the second feeding so I bumped it back down to 1 feeding a day and they don’t seem to mind it (I don’t really have fish like anthias that need the 4-5x a day feedings so it doesn’t affect the others too much). I instead fit as many nutrient rich foods as I can in one feeding. I still have relatively fat wrasses however they’re not as fat as others may have their fish, instead they stay fat enough to remain healthy and thriving.

I have a yellow coris that wakes up very early and sleeps very early like 3-4 pm. The issue is I never see him. Maybe 1x a weekend when I go in basement early because otherwise I all ways feed mid day and night so I’m concerned he will not live as long as he should due to this.
