Why is my nem doing this?

Had him for about 3 months and he was open wide about 5”. Since last week, he’s inflated. I usually do a10-15% weekly. I did a 50% last week and didn’t seem help. Thx

Being busy lately, usually what’s the issue is without knowing the parameters.

So I had 7 RBTAs all at the same time. Of course I did, they were all clones of each other. The original mother split, then split, then…well you get it? And so they were very accustomed to my routine. Dosing, water changes, light schedules etc. etc. You said you had that deflated one for 3 months. There are two other nems in the picture. Did you have them beforehand or are they “cloned” family members as well? Deflating is something nems can do. Splitting is something nems can and will do. I’m not saying its “normal”. IMO changes in temp, salinity, nutrients all happen when we water change. You did a 50% and he deflated. Cause and affect is pretty much the answer for everything we do in reefing. When we go from 15% to 50% we become a part of the cause. He should re inflate.

It’s from a friend who cut it and had being healed. As mentioned, it was all happy and healthy open wide about 5”. My friend suggest I run some carbon, I will give it a shot.
