I have a RBTA that split a few days ago--yay!! I know sometimes they split when conditions arent good--but before it split this anemone was perfectly healthy and would eat great!! It was big and beautiful and I was sooo happy with it!! Then I fed it some clam (it was just getting krill) and it split. So,I thought yay!! finally!! But now one of them looks ok and the other one is just hanging or drooping for a better description. They are both on the underside of a rock not getting much light. Is it normal for them to droop for a while after splitting? Its been this way for 2 days now. Will they climb back up on the rock for more light eventually?? I have been tempted to turn the rock over but I think the one that looks ok has its foot wedged between 2 rocks. Thank you for any advice!

I bought a fellow R2R'rs RBTA that had just split. Hers and mine both were a bit off for a few weeks.

Yeah, I have the other half of Liquid's RBTA...lol...I would just leave them be. They will come around in a few weeks. They have to heal and grow a new mouth. Do not try to feed them until you see a new one has fully formed. Good luck!

glad we could help!! Hey Connie! My half seems to have healed up and still looks great!
