This ricordea just finished splitting and both sides now have patches where bubbles are missing. I've never had that happen when ricordea split in the past. What's wrong?

Thanks for responding and for the pictures! I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.
Of course! Take some pictures and update us if anything changes! Hopefully they heal up nice. What are your nitrates at? And do you ever feed them?

The scar tissue from the split should eventually heal and bubbles grow back. Ive had some take a cpl months to fully heal. Ive had some shrooms take a year to fully split. Ive also lost both splits after a split.

The places where the bubbles are missing are not where it split. They are on the opposite side on each one. I need to measure the nitrates, but I had not thought about the feeding. I had been spot feeding the corals about 3 times a week, but I started to get an explosion of tunicates, so I stopped feeding 3 weeks ago. Maybe that has something to do with it. I think all the tunicates are gone, so I will start feeding them again today.

I usually feed mine reef roids. I target feed each one a light dusting and they love it. If you can get a coral to eat it usually helps them heal faster. Maybe it will help it get its bubbles back faster too.
