Why is my saltwater aquarium so cloudy?

My tank has been clear as could be for the past 2 months now out of nowhere it is super cloudy. Any advise on how to fix it

can you determine if it is...

- bacterial bloom (white cloud)
- algae bloom (green cloud)
- micro bubbles (disappear if the source if the bubbles is turned off, usually skimmer, or return pump)
- just lots of particles floating around (give it some more time, or run a filter sock/floss)

How about dosers? I had a issue recently when my Alk and Calcium dosers ran amuck for a couple hours. It created a cloudy mess that ultimately turned out to be harmless.
 
If it is a bacterial bloom you don’t want to go doing large water changes. Let it runs its course and it will completely disappear on its own. A UV steriliser can help.
 
Are you running carbon? Maybe carbon has all been deactivated - time to replace?
