I don’t know. But my trochus snails spawn like that a couple times a year. Mine usually do it during the night and I wake up to a cloudy tank. Then little micro trochus start showing up. My kids love searching for them.

its spawning. Doesn't matter if mate or not if there is an opposite sex snail. Its usually controlled by the moon.

Looks like the ones I used to sell... That being said, if it's from the Caribbean then it's most likely the chestnut turbo snail Turbo castanae.

Looks kinda like the turbo a friend of mine has. Or at least, he calls it a turbo.
