Why is my tank so cloudy and green looking

Any updates?

When my current tank was younger (six or eight months ago) it went through two cloudy periods. A bloom of heterotrophic bacteria, and another of phytoplankton. One way to help tell what you've got going on in there is to siphon some tankwater into a white bucket. The color of the water will tell much . . .

In my case, it was brilliant jade/emerald green.

Any updates?

I added a lot of nitrifying bacteria and it seems to be clearing up I haven’t tested the water yet I am planning on testing it tomorrow to see if the ammonia is lowering.

I don't think it's been cycled completely yet, or that the bioload skyrocketed bc of the new fish additions. No diatom or any algae? You should have some to know that there's some nitrogen in there(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)
Have you dealt with diatoms yet?
Also try to get carbon from Brs, they always have the best, rox 0.8 is the best. Or can you only get stuff from a lfs?

Just keep in mind. Any ammonia is harmful to your fish. I would do a larger than normal waterchange
