Why is my toadstool bent over?

Hi everyone. I have had this toadstool for about 5 months now. It has never stood up straight, its always bent over with no apparent stalk. I got it as a freshly cut piece. It is in a medium flow area and the parameters are okay. It is doing good and it has grown alot but it is not in the shape that makes these corals desirable so please help me out here. Thanks.

Give it a bit more flow. I have one that was doing the same. I placed it in more direct flow and it stood up straight and extended more.

Edit: The only higher flow area i can think of would be on a rock, closer to the lights. Would it be ok if i move it from the sand to the middle of the tank (vertically) ?
